#FordTheArts - Youth Scholarship
Do you know a young person in our community who is involved with arts programming?
If yes, invite them to share their talents and apply for the 2026 #FordTheArts Youth Scholarship! 2 scholarships for $500 each will be awarded to two students to help pay for their classes or instructor fees for the 2026-2027 season.
All art forms, including performing (dance, music, etc.), literary, 3-D, and visual arts will be considered.
Eligibility:
- Youth must be participating in community arts programming in Lacombe County for 2026-2027
- Must be under 18
- Live in Lacombe County or be taking instruction in Lacombe County
- The applicant may not be a previous recipient of the scholarship
How to apply:
- Complete and submit an application form FOUND HERE
- Record and submit a video of up to one minute in length of the arts programming you are involved in, to be shared on social media with the hashtag, #fordthearts, emailed to admin@lacombepac.com with the application form (can attach via Google Drive or Dropbox link)
- Video can be taken from public performances or recorded for the sole purpose of the scholarship. Applicant does not need to appear full frontal for the video, but it must be clear it is the applicant in the video
- All videos will be posted on social media for Lacombe Performing Arts Centre and Lacombe Ford; video may be shortened.
- Visual & 3-D Arts: Please provide 3 photos of your completed artwork.
Open for submissions March 23rd, 2026 - May 22, 2026.
Winners will be selected by a panel of adjudicators and notified by June 10, 2026. The successful applicants will be presented their scholarship June 17th, 2026, at Music in the Park at 6:00pm.
